All the students are requested to come in the class with some preparation, that is atleast the reading of notes that is provided. The pre class preparation will only make you understand the class and than only it will be interesting you there.
The schedule for this weekend classes are as follows: 1) Basics of accounting(Module I) 2) Session 48 - financial markets & intermediaries (Module IV) 3) Session 49 - Equity markets & their stuructures(Module IV)
The basic excel classes will start from next week. The classes will be held on wednesday & thursday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
Note: Please come prepared for class by reading the materials provided to you.
The Excel class is going to held Wednesday, 13.08.08 and Thursday, 14.08.08 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
The content that will be taught are the basic use of excel, how to use macros, and to use fromulae in excel with how to solve time value of money problems with excel.
The regular class will be held on sunday, 17.08.08 from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
The content of the class will be 1)Session 49 - Equity markets & their stuructures(Module IV) 2)Session 50 - Equity Market Dynamics (Module IV) 3)Session 51 - Approaches to Equity Analysis.

The excel classes have started since yesterday. These are for the benefit of those students who will like to improve their skills in Time Value of Money & MS excel. The session will train / enable the students to learn basic excel skills pertaining to Time Value of Money and to use them accordingly. These sessions will not include the higher excel applications and macros.
Tom(30/08/2008) saturday, 1.00p.m to 1.30p.m there will be a talk on topic ' EQUITY RESEARCH 'By speaker Mr. Vinay Khattar -Head (Cash Equity Group) - Edelweiss Securities Ltd.
In accordance with the discussions in the class held on 5th Oct. as regards to the completion of entire portion of IB course, after having discussed with NSE authorities it was decided to complete the same before the final examination i.e on 22nd Nov.2008.
In view of this it is decided to extend the course timing for 1 hr every session for the next 12 remaining sessions i.e 10.30a.m to 6.30p.m or alternatively 9.30a.m to 5.30p.m depending upon your convenience.
